- The program name changed from Boy Scouts to Scouts BSA
2016 Changes to Scouts BSA Action Awards
- The Leave No Trace Trainer position of responsibility changed to Outdoor Ethics Guide.
- The chapter name in the Scout Handbook changed from Leave No Trace to Outdoor Ethics.

Adult Leader Outdoor Ethics Action Award Requirements
Requirement 2:- Change Boy Scout Handbook to Scouts BSA Handbook.
Transition
Scouts who started working on the Boy Scout Outdoor Ethics Action Award before January 1, 2016:- May read Chapter 7 on Leave No Trace in the 12th Edition of the Boy Scout Handbook OR Chapter 7 on Outdoor Ethics in the 13th Edition of the Boy Scout Handbook or the new Scouts BSA Handbook for requirement 2a.
- May use their time served as the troop or team Leave No Trace Trainer before January 1, 2016 towards requirement 3a.
